“I am incredibly grateful to the Livingston County Museum for serving both as a site for learning and an empowering center for self-driven projects, which greatly enhanced my experience as a college student. Through my internship I learned the skills necessary to succeed and then put them to the test in a hands-on environment. I worked on cataloging the China & Porcelain Collection, completing primary research with a number of Livingston County sources. I ended up curating an exhibit of the collection on the SUNY Geneseo campus and contributing interpretative labels and permanent signage to the museum. The Livingston County Museum provides a welcoming and exciting environment for aspiring museum professionals and students to grow. Plus, there’s a ton to learn!”
